Terms and Conditions

Mobile Hotspot Rental

The mobile WiFi hotspot device remains the property of Portugal Internet at all times. Customers are renting the equipment for the agreed rental period. The customer is expected to take reasonable care of the device during the rental period, keeping it safe from damage, loss, or theft. The device must be returned in the same working condition as it was received, allowing for normal wear and tear.

SIM Card Rental

The SIM card remains the property of Portugal Internet. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure the SIM card is compatible with their device before placing an order. The SIM card must be used in an unlocked device. Please note that tethering (using your phone as a WiFi hotspot) may not work on some Apple products due to carrier restrictions set by the device manufacturer.

eSIM Purchase

It is the customer's responsibility to ensure their device is eSIM compatible and unlocked before purchasing. The eSIM is designed for use in the specific country or region indicated on the product page. Using the eSIM outside the designated coverage area may result in no service or additional charges. Once an eSIM is installed and activated, it cannot be transferred to another device.

Internet Traffic

The amount of data included is specified on each product page. Speed is provided on a best effort basis and depends on network conditions, location, and device capabilities. Portugal Internet does not guarantee specific speeds or uninterrupted coverage in all areas, particularly in remote or rural locations.

Rental Period

The rental period commences at 0:01 GMT on the selected start date and expires at 23:59 GMT on the selected end date. Any usage outside the rental period is not covered and may result in additional charges.

Activation and Usage

For eSIM products, the number of days included begins counting from the moment the eSIM is installed and activated on the device. The service will stop when either the included days have been used up or the included data allowance has been fully consumed, whichever occurs first.

Delivery

Free shipping includes both the delivery of the rental equipment and a prepaid return envelope. Portugal Internet is not liable for failed delivery attempts due to incorrect address information provided by the customer, absence at the delivery address, or issues with the postal or courier service.

Return

Customers must return the rental equipment using the prepaid return envelope provided. The equipment should be posted by midnight on the last day of the rental period. The customer is responsible for ensuring the envelope is posted on time. If the prepaid return envelope is lost, the customer is responsible for the cost of returning the equipment to Portugal Internet.

Late Return Fees

A late return fee of 5 EUR per day will be charged for each day the equipment is not returned after the end of the rental period. If you are unable to return the equipment on time, please contact us immediately so we can assist you and potentially waive or reduce the late fee.

Extra Costs

There are no extra charges for usage within the rental period and within the data allowance included in your plan. All costs are included in the price displayed at the time of purchase.

Loss and Damage

In the event of loss, theft, or damage to rental equipment, the following replacement costs apply:

  • WiFi Router - 80 EUR
  • SIM Card - 10 EUR
  • AC Adapter - 10 EUR
  • USB Cable - 5 EUR
  • Additional Battery - 10 EUR
  • Power Bank - 10 EUR
  • Car Charger - 10 EUR

Cancellation and Refund

For WiFi hotspot and SIM card rentals:

  • Cancelled before shipment - full refund.
  • Cancelled 1 week or more before the start date - full refund.
  • Cancelled 5 to 3 days before the start date - refund depends on whether the equipment has already been shipped.
  • Cancelled less than 3 days before the start date - no refund.

For eSIM purchases:

  • Cancelled on the same day of purchase, before installation - full refund.
  • Once the eSIM has been installed, no refund is available.

In all cases, the maximum refund amount will not exceed the total amount paid by the customer.

Privacy

Portugal Internet will not share your personal data with other companies. Your information is used solely for the purpose of providing our services and communicating with you about your order.

Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with Portuguese law. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Portuguese courts.
